Here Bobbie Smith, a member of 'Euro-Toques' (the European Community of Cooks) and her family have built an international reputation for delicious and imaginative home cooking that incorporates mainly local and organically grown produce.

Guests may relax in the gardens and play croquet; you may be greeted by a peacock in its full regalia.

Places of interest within easy reach include medieval Kilkenny; New Ross where the 'Dunbrody', a famine ship replica built by local craftsmen, is moored and open to visitors, the Viking towns of Waterford and Wexford and the busy nearby town of Carlow.

Lorum is an ideal base from which to explore the area's many archaeological and historic sites and celebrated gardens. Energetic visitors may also sample the region's wide range of sporting and recreational activities.
