Guests may relax in the gardens and play croquet; you may be greeted by a peacock in its full regalia. Places of interest within easy reach include medieval Kilkenny; New Ross where the 'Dunbrody', a famine ship replica built by local craftsmen, is moored and open to visitors, the Viking towns of Waterford and Wexford and the busy nearby town of Carlow. Lorum is an ideal base from which to explore the area's many archaeological and historic sites and celebrated gardens.
